New Wool Scouring Equipment Starts Arriving at the Thomas Chadwicks Factory
Today marks a major milestone for Standard Wool as the first pieces of our brand-new wool scouring equipment have begun arriving at our factory. This investment represents the next phase in expanding our wool processing capabilities and reinforces our commitment to supporting the British wool industry with modern, efficient and high-capacity scouring facilities.
The arrival of the new machinery is the result of months of planning and preparation. Over the coming months, each piece of equipment will be carefully installed and commissioned before becoming fully operational. Once complete, the upgraded scouring line will enable us to process raw wool and maintain the high quality and consistency our customers expect.
Investing in modern scouring technology allows us to improve production efficiency, enhance quality control and reduce processing times. Whether we’re producing scoured wool for the carpet industry, insulation, bedding, horticulture or industrial applications, the new equipment will help us deliver clean and consistent fibres in a cost-effective way with a lower environmental footprint.
This expansion also demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting UK sheep farmers and the wider wool industry by providing reliable UK wool processing services.
We will be sharing regular updates as more equipment arrives and installation progresses. It’s an exciting time for everyone at Standard Wool, and we look forward to bringing the new scouring line into operation and continuing to invest in the future of UK wool processing.
